Padlock Next to Variable Names

Post by JohnLloyd »

Can anyone explain to me what the padlock icon does, next to the variable names in VistaPro? They don't seem to do anything??

I think it's to do with keeping them in your selected variables while you go and add more variables, one of the main benefits of VistaPro is that you can view variables from different levels/categories simultaneously (Vista would force you to e.g. look at all room variables or all building energy variables)

There were some good updates to VistaPro variable selections in the VE 2013 release that mean the locks are less required but for example if you lock on a room variable and then start clicking variables in the same category it will keep the original locked variable so you can keep charts open and add/remove if you like.
