Dealing with terrain

Hi,

The lowest floor in the model I am currently doing is below ground at the front of the building and above ground at the back (as the terrain has a slope). I currently have this level below z=0 in the model. Will the model assume the whole floor is below ground? and how do I deal with this correctly? do I have to set the terrain in the model?

Jack

Your best bet is to model the surrounding ground as another building and or local shade.

You can then set up the constructions and materials. Essentially building a fake mountain above the ground plane then building your building into the fake mountain.

I would start my building first on the ground plane with the basement under the ground then I would move my building up about 10m or so then build the mountain to put your building into.

This gives you better control of the results I find.

Good luck
