Quickly apply different glazing constructions on same wall?

Does anyone know of an efficient way to apply different constructions to windows on the same surface? My model contains windows that are partially spandrel glass that require different glazing constructions from the rest of the glazing. I know that you can go down to the surface and then the opening level and change the construction one by one, but my building is 10-stories tall and contains 100+ different rooms with exterior glazing so that would be very time consuming and monotonous.
I tried making one very large 10-story room with all of the building's glazing on it (with the two different constructions applied) and pressing it against the main building to transfer the glazing, but when I did this all of the transferred glazing changed back to the default glazing, leavings me in the same position I was before I started.
Any help is greatly appreciated! (And would save me a lot of time and headaches!)
