Roof orientation

Post by NRezzouk1 »

Hi, trying to apply a pitched roof to a single building unit. I need the edge to be rotated 90 degrees if that makes sense. ModelIT seem to "assume" the direction of the roof based on the dimensions of the rectangle on which it rests but it gets it wrong on this occasion.

Anyone has encountered this issue or is there something I am missing ?

Thanks

Hi Rezz

I'd suggest you try manually building the roof rather than relying on the automatic constructor. This allows you to build exactly what you want.

Creating a basic pitched roof is quite straight forward: Simply build two rectangular rooms side by side and then using the divide space tool to slice from corner to corner and remove the unwanted triangular parts.
