if it is possible to use ies to do life cycle assessment? It is more about environment impact, not life cycle cost analysis. If yes, which tool should i use? Thank you!

It should be possible to do the assessment you are interested in. This page on the IES website gives further details of the related applications in VE that you may consider as part of your work and what kinds of outputs you can achieve.
