Do air temp change with reflectivity?

Post by tkc »

I draw up a house and added few rooms with height of 0.5m stacked above the ceiling of the room.

I set the additional rooms I drew as transparent in suncast and opaque for the main house model I drew. I am trying to find out the effect of changing the reflectivity of the ceiling and how does it affect the air temperature above this surface.

The additional rooms I drew which are set as transparent as deemed as "internal room" which is a boundary space for me to find out the temperature of air in this boundary.

I have set the emissivity of 2 different surfaces with 0.3 and 0.7 respectively but after I simulate the model, I realised both gave me the same result which theoretically should not be true.

Can anyone guide me on what I should have set for the external convection model? And how should I go about solving this problem? Many thanks!
