Is it possible simulate and analyse alternative natural ventilation systems in IES? I’m talking about three cases specifically that I would like analyse for a project I’m working in this moment:
1.- Ventilation with solar chimney at roof (taking in account a possible use of black internal panting in the chimney to increase the solar absorption)
2.- Rotating chimney cowl or Wind Power Eolic Turbine Roof Extractor
3.- wind cowls ( is it possible take in account the change of wind direction to this device work properly opposite to the wind direction)
If it is possible, could you give me some advices about each one at moment of model them

Some examples what I'm talking about:

You may be interested in the Monodraught wind catchers that you can import from the performance components library – there is a PDF describing the whole process (and more) on our website: http://www.iesve.com/support/userguides ... de_new.pdf

For other systems, the best thing I can recommend is attempting different strategies using Macroflo and Natural Ventilation air exchanges in Apache. Draw a 1 room project and carry out some tests and observe the results in Vista.
