Energy supply profile - Natural resources (wind, solar)

In short:
I want to optimize energy demand from different occupancy patterns to the supply from natural resources.
Question:
- Is it possible to create an energy supply profile in IES?
- If so, how to implement the intermittent behavior of the supply sources?
The goal is to investigate building related storage solutions that enable matching the energy
demand to the energy supply from renewable sources. For instance, use solar power to pre heat the buildings thermal mass during the day (when people are at work) so the users can turn of the heating during the evening and therefor use energy when it is generated in stead of when it is demanded.
I'm not sure if this is possible or maybe some of you have a better idea, but my idea was to use climate file + wind turbine + pv-panels and use their output as input for the model, or something like that...?
Thanks in advance.
