Hi,

I am new to building simulation. Whenever I am trying to load ApacheSim, I am getting this message: "There was 1 missing system(s) found in the project. The system(s) will be replaced". Then, " Could not replace missing system(s). An error occurred". After this ApacheSim is loaded. Then again when I try to run the simulation, it says: "An attempt was made to reference a token that does not exist. Error reading Apache Systems File ".

I don't understand if the problem lies with my model or something is missing from the system files.Any suggestion to solve this is highly appreciated.

I suspect this error is model specific. Select all of your zones and view them in Tabular Room Data. The Systems tab will indicate which systems are referenced by each room (there are 3 per room, htg/clg system, ventilation system & DHW system).

Confirm that all rooms have valid systems assigned and check that the systems exist in your Apache file. Clicking the Apache Systems button will bring up your list of systems so you can check this.

If you are unable to resolve the source of the error with these steps, try the following:

1. Close <VE>
2. Open Windows Explorer
3. Navigate to Project folder then Apache Subfolder
4. Delete the *.asd file that is there
5. Open <VE> and open the file again.

This will generate the missing system(s) pop-up and attempt to replace them again, recreating a potentially corrupt *.asd file. If this still does not solve the problem, there may be a problem with your installation. I'd recommend contacting Tech Support.

Thank you so much for the reply. I was trying to simulate a free-running building in a tropical context. Therefore, I was not using any HVAC, DHW or cooling system. Anyway, the problem is solved now. Do you have any tutorial/ template for Building Manager suitable for tropical climate?

Glad to hear your problem is resolved. I'm not aware of any tutorial for you specific application, but if you run into any specific questions, definitely post them for consideration.
