I have newly installed VE and bought the student offer. I am trying to learn the features of the software and working with the tutorial. I am trying to follow the instructions written in the tutorial and working with the template project. I have tried the radiance simulation and follow the steps. But when I click the simulate under the generate bar "initalising" is written but not any simulation have been done since I waited all night. Could you please help me with that problem?

I know radiance is a 3rd party app that runs with little executables.
try taking the folder names out of the equation and saving to "c:\projex\test\test.mit" and running again

I don't understand your suggestion. Could you please more clear?

I m trying different projects and trying to create images. Hovewer when I click the simulation it remains at 0.00 and not any images appear. How can I fix this problem please help me

I have the same problem, I have a student license and at moment to run a simulation , it takes long time and after that give a error and the program closed unexpectedly
how we can fix it? I didn't understood about taking the folder names out of the equation on the previous reply

I have the same problem.... I've been tried to run a illuminace simulation and workplane simulation, but it start the overture with 0.00% and after so many hours nothing happen, It didn't even start

I have vesrion 2014 and later installed the patch hotfix 01, it has something to we can do to fix it

There were some issues with Radiance where it wasn't able to run either due to invalid characters (ampersands, dots etc...) in the file path or spaces in the names of components. As you will see from reading the release notes we have been working to address these issues so if you haven't already then i'd recommend downloading and installing VE 2014 Feature Pack 2.

I'm currently getting the same problem. I tried following the link that Terence posted, but it doesn't exist anymore.

Did any of you figure out the problem?

I've tried creating a very simple room on a new project, and the same problem occurred. I'm not receiving any error reports.

Any help would be appreciated!

Same problem here, again in a student version. The simulation just doesn't start and stays at 0.00% forever, there is no error message. Can anyone please pay attention to this problem and give some solution?

The same problem occurs with VE 2015.1.0.0 - the Radiance simulation simply does not start, it stays at 0.00% forever. Please provide some guidance.
