According to the new pdf uploaded for the new 2013 release:
The Run Simulation runs a dynamic calculation for the selected zone. When complete there are
options to Display and Process (WP Grid tab) Results.
In both my personal computer and the lab computers, I cannot see the display button/option. I saw the pdf file of the new release which shows that there ought to be both buttons for Display and Process. I can run simulation and then I cant see the results visually.
Is there a possibility that there is a problem with the new download, or is there a patch missing?
My laptop was updated last week and the lab at University of Oregon was updated yesterday.
Best,
Ayesha
missing Display option in Dynamic Simulation (Beta)
Re: missing Display option in Dynamic Simulation (Beta)
hmmm... I don't see those options either. Best guess... you've got your hands on a BETA version and the public release update no longer has that option (probably a premium extra feature for themselves or it isn't up to speed yet).
Re: missing Display option in Dynamic Simulation (Beta)
The joys of making beta software available to all users...
The guidance that has been put out is now out of sync with the latest changes in VE 2013 Feature Pack 2. It's mostly interface changes that are preventing you from using it and we're working to get together some refreshed guidance but for now the main change is on the Dynamic Simulation tab the Thresholds options is now embedded as part of the Post Processing.
After the calcs click on Post Processing and you can access the Thresholds settings on the UDI frame (so it is still there), you are then ready to move on to the WP Grid tab where you can select your results file then move down to surface level and select the floor, the Results tab gives all the different results options you have and these will be displayed as you select them.
It does actually look and feel much better to use now and it will continue to be improved until the feature is fully implemented so please bear with us in the meantime as it's very hard to keep guidance and documentation up to date for a fluid development like this.
And of course any problems you do find, please document these and submit to feedback@iesve.com so they can be corrected for the next iteration
