topography etc
topography etc
Hi I am new to IES, I need to model a building on a sloped topographic surface - will be able to see the basement level at the front of the building but not at the back. Does anyone know how to do a sloped topography ? Thanks for your help!
Re: topography etc
Hi
two options:
1) Switch to side view and draw the sloping ground
or (my preference)
2) Draw a big block zone in plan around building then cut the slope out of the block. Note you can't completely surround the building with the block zone in one go - draw a "U" shape then another little block to fill the gap.
Clear enough?

Hi
What type of space do you draw the "ground" block as?

I'd suggest topographical shade (if you want to actually model it). However, if you set the adjacent condition of the sub-grade space to be "from profile" Apache will not consider any solar hitting that surface.
