I have several questions regarding to delivery efficiency used in DSM compliance calculations
1- If you have multi apache systems serving various part of the building , how can i determine site wide delivery efficiency encompassing all system ( does the system use weighted averaged or similar method?
the reason that I am enquiring this is because when you have CHP and boiler system with or without bivalent option included ; it is difficult to understand how much the software accounts distribution losses ( accounted within DE of the system) , I would like make sure CHP does not dump any heat. To understand or justify that I need to know final DE of the whole project
(( space heating load +DHW load)/HDE = CHP load +boiler load) , are the distribution losses being accounted by increasing both for boiler load and CHP load ?
Sub question
How do you determine delivered heating laod ( boiler laod ) when you have a bit complex system that have HDE greater than 1( say system with ASHP ) , does this mean that I will need to reduce delivered heating ? delivered heating= heating load/HDE
I am not quite sure how above formula works with system HDE greater 1
2- How CDE efficiency is determined when SSEER is calculated ?
I understand that SSEER is calculated by the following formula
SSEER=SEERxCDE/(1+(SEER+1)XHRP), as it can be seen from this formula, there are 2 unknown information here , one is SSEER and other CDE which is faded and cannot be edited . I am aware that there is another formula where CDE can be calculated , which is Qgen=Qdel/(SEERxCDE) , now here to calculate CDE , Qgen( cooling generator load) and Qdel( delivered cooling ) will need to be known , but Qdel cannot be know without knowing CDE , Q del can be known from the software but ( how the software knows this , before proceeding calculation, you only setting system at apache view .
In my view; i think there are set of default information that is assigned as CDE based on system type selected (like all air or radiator system) but i don’t know what they are or what guide i should look to see them in details
And similarly; I assume HDE efficiency is determined by the same way?
3- how do you model bivalent system in apache sim calcualtion ? and how can you match same Scop and SSEER of compliace model?
Bivalent system is not being used in the apache sim calculation ( not compliance calculation ), ScoP and SEER figures in the apache cim calculation ( for real building calculation) will be different than the system efficiency used in the compliance mode , also CDE/HDE will be different too ,
