Hi I am trying to model a penthouse to do the cooling calculations at a later stage.
This penthouse has a pyramidal shape and the top of the roof vertex is all glazing so it creates a nice light well into the building, I cant seem to be able to introduce a window on the roof within this area.
ModelIT seems to only allow me to place windows on straight vertical surfaces.
Can someone help me?
Adding a light well to the roof.
Re: Adding a light well to the roof.
Hi,
There are a few ways to add windows, I guess you are at the top building level and using the place openings from there. You can select your room and then go down through the levels of decomposition to select a particular surface where you have flexible glazing drawing options available. Another alternative would be to use the edit glazing tool which allows you to specify orientation, azimuth etc of the surfaces you want to automatically add glazing too
The user guide will cover these options in some more detail (Help >> User Guides >> Model Builder) and they would be fully covered in an online ModelIT Training Course.
