Weather files doesn`t read in ApacheSim

Hello,

I tried to run ApacheSim for the model of the building in Philadelphia. For the purpose of research it was decided to use the TMY3 weather file from Northeast Airport (NE) in Philadelphia (not International Airport). I download TMY3 NE Philadelphia from links presented in IESVE website and located them in the shared folder on my computer. But in the process of running ApacheSim there is always same mistake seems to appear - "Error opening weather file". I tried to run ASHRAE Loads module with the same file and it works perfectly. Which makes me think that the weather file is fine, but than i don`t understand why it does`t work in ApacheSim. Worth to mention, that same exact model works with other weather files....
Surfed the internet for couple hours tried to find other files to substitute TMY3 NE Philadelphia and the result is always the same.....
HELP please...I don`t know what to do :(

THANK YOU!

Hmmm... could check to see that it is comma delimited and not tab delimited?

The name of the weather file is too long - rename it (and then remap which weather file you're using in ApLocate) and it will run.

I downloaded the same weather file from the DOE site IES links to and received the same error. When I changed the file name to remove the numbers in the middle, the simulation ran fine.

ASHRAE Loads worked for you because it's not using the weather file for that calculation. When you go through the wizard in ApLocate, you import design data for the location as well as map to a weather file. The design data can be seen on the "Design Weather Data" tab and is using for running ASHRAE Loads. The "Simulation Weather Data" is the weather file used for dynamic simulation.
