FCU w/ DOAS

I'm trying to model a FCU w/ a DOAS that will be supplying air to both the corridors and dwelling units at 70 degree F. At the corridor space, the supply air will come in directly from the AHU at 70 degree F, but at the dwelling units the supply air will be heated / cooled to 95 deg F / 55 deg F in a FCU.

Do I have to locally edit all corridors in the HVAC multiplex and turn off the FCU heating/cooling coils / fan?
Or can I create two separate HVAC schematics, one separately for the dwelling units and one for the corridor?

I'm assuming I can't create two separate HVAC schematics since the RA temp will be different for the corridor / dwelling units and will have an impact on the mixed air temperature returning to the AHU.

Is there an easy method to turning off heating / cooling coil for multiple layers within the HVAC multiplex?

Thanks!

No, what you should be doing is putting the corridors in a separate multiplex that is connected directly to the DOAS.

So basically, add another path that extends from the DOAS side to the new multiplex which contains the corridors.

Farahghanem,

Thanks for the reply! I appreciate it. I'm using the "out of the box" FCU w/ DOAS HVAC schematic and I was told that I shouldn't add or remove anything to those original HVAC schemes.

Does this work?
