Derived parameters

Hello,
I hope someone can help me with a problem with derived parameters for both opaque and transparent components.
I do not understand why the derived parameters of all the components in my case are limited to: U value, Ins. Outs.-thermal resistance and thermal capacity, I cannot get any other parameters...should I enabled something that maybe is blocked?
100 points for the first person replying

thanks a lot,
Giov

Hi Giov,
No, derived parameters are just those listed. What other parameters are you interested in? They could be stated somewhere else.

Hello Farahghanem,
normally there are plenty of other parameters that I should see on the "derived parameters window", there have been already posts on parameters other than the ones by me mentioned (and visible in my table). Moreover, the IesVE guide " construction database user guide" at pag. 42 lists all the parameters that one can obtains from the software.
I'm personally interest in time lag (time shift factor) and decrement factor but I would like to have almost all of them, instead of calculating them every times.
any suggestion?
regards,
Giov

Oh! now I understand what you mean. In the construction window there is a drop down menu under the description that allows you to select the "Performance" rating of the construction. The default selection is ISO, but you can select between ISO, ASHRAE, and CIBSE. The later would show you all the derived parameters mentioned in the guide.

Hello Farahghanem,
That is indeed! thanks, I should have assumed it from the fact that VE calculates these parameters with CIBSE method and not with the ISO one, but I did not think about changing the Performance rate. Now I'll calculate the difference between the parameters by using ISO and CIBSE methodology.
Thanks a lot,
