Inner or outer volumes

Hi,

When drawing a model over an imported dxf, should I draw the inner or outer volumes ?

Similar question regarding floor levels, should I set each floor levels as per the reality or should I stack each floor by floor to ceiling height, i.e. each floor above the ground floor will be at a lower level than in reality.

Thanks,

Stefano

For outwall: draw outer volume (wall's outside boundary line)
For inner wall: draw at center line.

Depends for what purpose you are creating the model.

If it is for an SBEM/EPC the guidance is clear, don't use inner volumes, the room boundary should be drawn to the inner wall surface and the heights should be FFL to FFL (except the top floor which is FFL to underside of ceiling).

Personally I always do it this way regardless.
