IES VE Fan Energy remains same despite CFM reduction

Post by energymodeler1214 »

Hello,
I am new to this forum and was wondering if any of the experienced users could comment on the following issue:

We have a building and the model is calibrated to the utility bills based on the current building system usage and as-built drawings.

A- While keeping all things the same, I am reducing the fan flow by 30% and seeing the impact.
B- I have done it firstly at the ApacheHVAC level and then at the Auxiliary Ventilation levels.

In both scenarios, the natural gas (heating energy) decreases as expected but the fan energy remains exactly the same.

Is there any reason why would that be happening? IES VE is showing no fan energy reduction at all. Noting auto-sized as well.

Any comments will be invaluable.
