<VE>Compliance takes a long time to open

I'm working in version 2014 on a moderate sized model and whenever I try to enter into <VE>Compliance (2013 regs) the program will freeze for three or four minutes before letting me continue. The work I'm dong at the moment means I need to frequently jump from <VE>Compliance and the other modules and this delay is very frustrating and time consuming. Is anyone else getting anything similar?

Actually, I just timed it and it's getting closer to a ten minute delay. Processor flat out the whole time.

I've just run into this bug and, oh boy, is it frustrating.

Not only do I have to wait upwards of 5 minutes on entering VE but it appears that while in VE I have to wait similar lengths of time every time I open and close an input screen. So far it has happened when selecting the NCM building type, when I opened and closed the building data screen and also when I opened and closed the thermal templates.

I cannot afford to spend 30 minutes out of every hour waiting for IES to respond. I know this is scheduled for fixing with feature pack 1 but I suspect that's a while off yet.

Terence - any word on when feature pack 1 is due? I'm frankly a little disappointed that this was not picked up prior to 2014 being launched and also that hotfix 1 has been and gone without it being dealt with.

Hi Guys,

Sorry this took a bit longer than expected, we submitted Feature Pack 1 for approval around 3 weeks ago. As far as i understand the approval body did its part pretty fast and the hold up was on the admin side. We finally received the letter of approval yesterday and the installers were uploaded to the website.

More info, including a link to the release notes is available in the announcements section here: http://bit.ly/VE2014Fp1
