IES Cooling: Pack Chiller Type

Post by RossThompson87 »

Hi,

I am very confused by the cooling tab on the NCM system wizard.

On many systems its asks for the 'Pack Chiller Type'. Is 'Pack' shorthand for 'packaged'? If so why does it ask for this variable on a split system which by definition is not a packaged/cabinet unit?

As for the options, there is:

Air Cooled
Water Cooled
Remote Condenser
Heat Pump (Gas/Oil)
Heat Pump (Electric)

None of these seem exclusive of one another. Can you not have an 'air cooled electric heat pump'? Which do you choose for that?

These options aren't mentioned in the modelling guide. Do these effect the calculations?

Any clarification would be great.

Thanks

Ross
