Hello,
I am a bit rusty with the window opening controls in Macroflo. Basically I want to open my windows at 23C but only when the building is occupied.
In Macro flo, I have tried setting the "opening threshold" to 23C and the modulation profile to "on continuously" When looking at vista this appears to open the windows when the internal temp is above 23C regardless of whether the building is occupied or not, as you would expect.
I have also applied a modulation profile, to represent the occupancy, again with 23C 'threshold temperature' but this appears to open the window during occupied time regardless of the threshold temperature, in effect overriding it.
Can anyone help.
Ps im familar with the formula generator, if that is the best way to do this?
Thanks
Mcj

Re: Window Control
Hi,
Switch the threshold temp control off by setting it to 0 then use a formula profile (the threshold temp input toggles the opening to open when you reach that air temp but it won't close again until the variation profile switches to off which is really never what you want).
You can reference occupancy as a formula variable so your profile should be based on the occupancy schedule; set to be off at unoccupied times and then use a formula to open based on air temp in occupied times. ta > 23 is most simple but that will be an instantaneous open and close pattern so instead build in some dead band using a RAMP to smooth it out a little.
The Profiles Database User Guide (Help <>> User Guides >> Thermal category) gives some examples re the formula profile options and some applications
