Holes in partition

Post by sciciani »

Hi, if I put a hole in a partition, the daylight results give me higher lux near the hole than in the window on the external wall. This cannot be possible as I cannot have higher lux near the partition than in the external wall window. In fact of I put two holes of exactly same dimensions and setting point but on in the external wall and one in the external wall the results are very similar. It seems that the hole in the partition is considered as being in an external wall. Does any one know the reason?

Hi,

This is related to running the calculation at the lowest quality setting on the slider bar which is never recommended other than for external rooms to get a very fast feedback on the calculation. If you click the advanced button on the calculation settings dilaog then you will see what is (or more importantly at low quality isn't) being taken into account by the calculation.
