Internal floor/ceiling being recognised as external ground

Post by Tian Coulsting »

Morning all,

I am currently working on a model where IES is recognising an internal floor/ceiling as an external floor. There is no gap between these surfaces (I have zoomed right in to check for slivers and the starting height of the floor above is the same as the max height of the floor below).

I have tried dividing the zone (it wraps round another internal zone and I’m aware that IES sometimes struggles with this), I have also tried the tidy function on the zones I’m having difficulty with and rebuilding model adjacencies but I’m running out of tricks to throw at it! Is there anything else I can try :?:

I’ve been bashing my head against a wall with this so some help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,

Tian
