Hi,

I've noticed that when I "save as" an existing project, not make any modifications to it, and just run the PRM Simulation I get lower energy use savings than before.

I've observed this when I tried to change settings in my "saved as" model from an older model, but results yielded much lower in savings than expected. Re-running PRM sim. in same old project file yields same results, but saving as another directory and then running simulation, somehow changes results.

Could it be something to do with the updated ASHRAE fundamentals??

If by ASHRAE fundamentals you mean "select ASHRAE standard" from the navigator menu, then this I've checked and its still 90.1-2007 selected.

Are you able to narrow down the discrepancy to any particular end use?

There are a couple of fixes listed in the release notes for VE 2015 with regard to the PRM navigator. I'm not sure how these are applied to existing projects/newly saved projects? My previous comment was with regard to the updated weather data for solar calcs but i don't think this changes if you save as you have to manually re-acquire it.

I've remade all sizing runs along with solar shading calcs and the energy use savings went much lower then when running only the PRM simulation.

The end use energy increases in all areas except int/ext lighting, DHW, receptacle and elevators. Heating seem to increase the most.
