VE 2015 Feature Pack 1 is now available to download from the download centre on our website.
All users should download and run the ve2015-100setup.exe (125.3MB) installer. This will update your current VE 2015 installation, or install VE 2015 if it wasn't installed already.
New features summary
Electrochromic Glazing
• Glazed Constructions can be assigned electrochromic properties.
• Specify properties of the glazing when in clear mode and tinted mode and also operation schedule and formula for switching between modes based on variables e.g. incident irradiance on the window or room air temperature.
Light Ballasts/LED Drivers
• New factor available when defining lighting internal gains to include a factor representing lamp ballast (or LED Driver).
• Perform tests that demonstrate the benefit of using higher power factor systems compared to lower ones.
Regulation Compliance
• The California Energy Commission has approved Feature Pack 1 for Title 24 Nonresidential Compliance work. This version will be engaging with CBECC-Com version 3c.
