Specifying "Underground Floor Slab" Type for an assembly

Post by demianvk »

I am getting the following error:
Error: The underground floor Slab Type has not been specified for the Construction Assembly assigned to surface 'KT000000_F0'. evaluating rule: Set CHECKSIM UndgrFlr:SlabType (44:'OpaqueEnvelope-UndergroundFloors.rule' line 331)

I don't see how to specifically set the construction type to line up with a Rule Library Object for "underground floor" like when using CBECC-Com (Which has a specific SlabonGrade library entry to import).

Thank you,

Demian

The VE has the same three Slab parameters (Type, Orientation, R-value) as CBECC-Com, you will find these on the Regulations subtab of a Floor construction.
But to bring these into effect you must check the "Ground-contact floor" box and use the Adjust button to change Analysis method to F-factor.
This is all described in section 4.6.1.6 of the User Guide.

Thank you for the reply. I had most of what you mentioned input but I specified the floor as "underground" and not as a "slab-on-grade" in the Regulations tab.
1 error down, 10 more to go ;)
