Hey folks,

Any advice on how best to simulate an ERV for a single family home?

Tx!

the apacheHVAC prototypes already have systems that include an ERV, if you can't find one that is close enough to the system you have, then you can add a heat exchanger component to your network.

Thanks - I'll give that a try!

In fact, my model is pretty simple and I'm wondering if I can get away with using ApacheSys only? I'm using radiant floor heating, an ERV and natural ventilation, and hopefully no AC. Would this be able to be modelled in ApacheSys?

If your ventilation is natural, I am not sure what benefit of having an ERV in the first place.

In any case I am not very familiar with apacheSys, my guess is that you should be able to model it there. However, I would suggest you read the guide and see if it has the features you need.

So the best route is probably to go ApacheHVAC, then. I'll proceed that way. I'll also need to add in radiant flooring, which I believe can be handled by this module.
