Solar gain - How to set a time range for peak

Post by Ste_Vege »

Hi All,

I have created a model to determine the solar gains only. Since I have solar shading louvres, the peak solar gain per each room is at 7.30am. The building will not be occupied at that time, therefore I would like to have a synopsis table for peak gains between 9am to 17.30pm only. This would also mean that the peak day would be different, as the sun angle would change.

I was thinking to set a solar shading device that obstruct 100% of the solar radiation during the non-operational times, however I was wondering whether there is a quicker way of doing this?

Thanks.

Hi,

I would still think a faster way to do this is simply an export of the results to Excel then you can filter out the periods you don't want to analyse. Or if you were to include the occupancy in your model then the range tool can bemused with the 'occupied hours' option on
