Night time operation

Post by DELGADO027 »

Greetings all.

I'm trying to model a residential building. The bedrooms are occupied between 5 pm and 8 am and unoccupied the rest of the day. I created the schedules for this, but how do I change the System Parameters on the open-close tab to reflect this occupancy? It.. won't let me input a closing time earlier than an opening time.

Hi,

I think the interface provided won't support doing this as you have found. If you need to specify occupied hours overnight then you'd have t use the interface to generate the profile sets as normal and then go into ApPro and manually edit the profiles to run in the hours that you require. If you create a set using a code then you can use the Profiles Database filter to isolate those ones and make it easier working through updating them.

Don't forget the SYS_Heating etc as well as your Controller profiles so that the loads and thermal model matches up tot eh HVAC in the full simulation.

I'll record this on our feedback@iesve.com route to request the interface bee revisited to support this type of model as well
