Modeling a door containing a window

I have a door that contains a fairly large window (3'x7' door with a 2'x2' window) and am not sure how to model this. Do I need to split it up into a bunch of rectangles, defining each as a door or window, or is there a way to add glazing to a door opening.

All help is appreciated, thank you!

Hi Tyler,

As far as I know you cannot draw an opening on top of an opening. It sounds like if you really want to model this, you will have to split the door into a bunch of rectangles alongside a window.

For more sources:

Hope this helps!

The way I deal with this, is model the door as a window, and then add a macroflow template (if thats what its called) to that window; the opening percentage depending on how much of the door is an actual window, and the opening angle depends of the situation of the door.
