Hi,
I have updated IES to 2016.0.0 version and it appears there is a glitch with setting the windows height, I cannot set a different height than 1.000m. Has anyone have had the same issue?
Is there a way I can just open the model I have drawn on IES 2016 on IES 2015?
Thanks!

A way around I have found is to draw the windows going into the wall view.

Re: Problem with windows height with IES 2016
I'm still on 2015 but we needed to install IES on a colleague's machine, so he got 2016 - and he is having terrible trouble inputting window dimensions using the dialogue in plan view.
Is this a recognised bug (it's not on the list of known issues)?
Is it possible to download 2015 (there's nothing in 2016 which we would benefit from)?

Hi,
I had a look at what you described and think I can see what is going wrong for you. If you type a different value in to the Place opening dialog and then move the mouse cursor onto the workspace, then the focus leaves the dilaog we see the value is reverted.
To apply it, type the height you want and then click on either the base height or the width fields and you will see it saves the Height value you want. Then move the mouse on tot he model to place the windows and the correct height is picked up.
I'm sure our development can improve this for you and I'll record it just now.
Regards downloading older versions, yes we offer a full library at the Version Archive on our Knowledge Base (linked) but I wouldn't give up on 2016 so son, there must be something there that would benefit you even if it is just the small fixes and enhancements added and not the major headline features. You can have VE 2016 and VE 2015 installed on the same machine and they will run off the same keys if you want to spend more time getting familiar with it.
