Weather Files for Part L2 Compliance

For Part L2 ApacheSim Compliance users are required to use the CIBSE 2006 Test Reference Year weather files.

These files are supplied by CIBSE or IES in .fwt format and they can be purchased direct from our website here: https://www.iesve.com/support/weatherfiles/cibse

The recently updated CIBSE weather files cannot currently be used for UK Building Regulations calculations.

You will find that they are supplied in .epw format only, which cannot currently be read by ApLocate for the purposes of UK Building Regulations calculations. They can be selected as a simulation weather file in ApacheSim (outside of VE Compliance).

Is there any update on this? I assume 2006 files are still to be used for compliance, but as I'm about to buy a set I don't want to find out next week that the advice has changed and we should be using the 2016 files.
