Separate buildings with separate Electricity meters

Dear all,
I hope you are doing well,
I'm trying to run simulations for a model that contains three buildings. Since there will be one results file only, I need to have separate results for electricity consumption of each one. I found out that there are shared electricity use somewher which are being read by 'meter1' the default meter. I was expecting that this meter will read zero after assigning all types of consumptions to other meters but this was not the case.
So my question is:
Do I need to create separate thermal templates and then for each one I have separate System? if this the best way (which I already tried but for some reason didn't work properly), I really appreciate any advice on a clear steps or procedure. Thanks in advance.
