Unmatched Adjacencies Debacle

I keep getting this. I draw a skeleton dxf all orthogonal and ensure each line snaps. I draw some rooms using this dxf and know 100% they are correct, yet this software (2017) reports unmatched adjacencies between spaces. I check and its baloney. Ive done the dll fix etc, checked everything. Ive only drawn 19 rooms and 3 of them have UA's. No freaking way. I never had this before in my models as I check as I go. Im getting pretty fed up with this and my Director is not a patient guy. C'mon IES whats going on?

I had the same problem once. I had to build my model since the beginning. I never knew what happened but I remember that was a very annoying issue.

I've noticed this too.

IES 2017 seems to be throwing up geometry errors like they're going out of style. I'm building all geometry in 2016 for now and then upgrading. It's not perfect but seems better than the alternative at the moment.

We've had terrible trouble with this in 2017 as well. Seems worse with models with parts of the building on angled grids. No amount of careful snapping, or using construction lines, seems to help. Colleague had to draw one building three times.

Hi,

Thanks for bumping this back up, we released a patch recently 2017.0.2.0 which should resolve a lot of errors on the geometry and specifically rebuild. I think running models that were created with some of these problems through this version won't necessarily "fix" them but would hope you see less of this kind of thing with any new geometry you create

If you do however, please send cases over to our Support team and refer this thread if you can, we'll happily look at them in more detail in case there is more we can request from our development team. What we need would be the models, some note son how they were built and the VE version they were created in please
