Perforated Panel for Façade

Post by A Cardoso Ziebell »

Hi,

Can someone, please, explain me how can I model a perforated panel (with basic geometry) in front of a window, and then include it in the energy and daylighting simulation?

If modeling this panel in glass material, with a g-value equivalent to the perforation rate of the panel is the best solution, how can I do this conversion from perforation rate to g-value?

Please help me!

Thanks & Regards,

Hi, you can calculate the area of the transparent and opaque from the perforated panel, the ratio of transparent and the total area is the g-value.
