Dynamic daylight results issue

Post by juliansaw »

I'm running a dynamic daylight simulation for a test structure and can't seem to totally understand the results due to lack of information in the user guide. I'm running UDI, sDA and ASE for 8am to 6pm, with thresholds at 100,500 and 2000lux.

UDI
1. What sky condition DA is and what time constraints does it run on? Is it true that it runs on the climate data from 4am to 10pm? (Those are the earliest and latest times the simulation is allowed to run on)

2. Is there a known bug or issue with the UDI results? Assuming the assumption above is correct, the lux data for DA and Occ. 4am-10pm should show similar results. However the results for Occ. is missing one lux range (100-500) and the data is incorrectly matched. For lux levels < 100, DA and Occ are similar, however DA(100-500) matches with Occ(500-2000) and DA(500-2000) matches with Occ(>2000). Seems to be a bug in the results.

sDA
1. What does WG1 Window and WG1 blinds exactly mean? Are they of the same weather data? WG1 blinds average lux seems to show a much higher average lux distribution.

Thanks for your help!
