Multiple crashes, endless adjacency errors (which only crop up following a "rebuild adjacencies").
Net result - reached the point of a nervous breakdown and hours wasted trying to draw 9 bloody dormers !!
I'm done.
I give in.
IES you've won!

Less of a question and more of not productive venting, but given how much these geometry errors seem to be driving you crazy, have you bothered investigating the effect on simulation results?
I once took a model with a large number of unmatched adjacencies and unbound surfaces, made a copy of it and corrected all the geometry issues, and the differences between results were negligible. Not saying that is always the case, but it's worth considering instead of tearing your hair out over every geometry error.
Have you tried creating your geometry through other means, like Sketchup or a simplified dxf and constructdxf?
