External Shading Device CBD

Hi all

I'm working on a thermal model of a building with a brise-soleil and would like to determine the effects on solar gains.

My first question is how would you typically model this?

I'm inclined to use the CBD by filling in the External Shading Device [louvre]. I presume I could model this by setting the profile to on continuous and providing the below variables:

• Nighttime resistance
  Daytime resistance
  Transmission factor at 15° increments

Does anyone have typical values they use for these variables for a high level RIBA Stage 2 analysis?
