Hello,

When I run the daylighting and artifical lighting analysis and check the 'use components' buttons to take components into consideration, I get an alert saying material not assigned to components. How do I assign materials to components?

I suspect this seems to have caused by deleting few surfaces from the component library and which are missing from the surface properties in the radiance and hence not allowing the changes the properties of these surfaces type.

As you said, you replaces existing components from the model, does that also removed surface properties assigned with these component from radiance as replied in last mail which may show missing surface properties issues?

Anyways, VE shows the notification about the missing surfaces when you start radiance simulation ,you still then can carry radiance analysis in VE if you don't want to define properties for missing surfaces.
