Summary: VERsc.dll being flagged as a threat by AVG antivirus
Detail: Some antiirus such as Avast are flagging VERsc.dll as a threat and quarantining it during installation, gives a missing dll error at runtime
Workaround: the false threat has been raised to Avast. If you use a different antivirus and encounter this error then please let us know by contacting the Technical Support team directly. Updating definitions may resolve the problem else you are advised to whitelist the VE dll if flagged so that complete installation is allowed.

Construction shading device formula profile doesn't work using ii variable

Summary: Construction shading device formula profile doesn't work using ii variable
Detail: References to ii variable in a formula profile used for continuously variable mode shading control in a construction don't work, blind acts off continuously as if the formula can't be read
Workaround: ii is a special variable that can only be assigned directly on the shading control, take the schedule off your formula profile and then apply your control logic directly in the dialog condition to raise/lower.

Workaround: Error can be resolved by running IESFix
Browse to your VE installation folder, typically at C:\Program Files (x86)\IES\VE 2019\apps
Locate IESFix.exe
Run as administrator
When this completes there will be a confirmation, click ok to dismiss.

Detail: We were made aware that the HEIGHT variable required for each room in an SBEM input file was incorrect for "Connected" rooms.
Workaround: Use Merge instead of Connect to create the single space.

Daylight Factor units not available in RadianceIES images

Detail: When viewing luminance images the daylight factor option in the units menu is not available to select (greyed out).
Workaround: This error occurs when model site rotation has been edited. Return to ModelIT and set this to zero then generate new images in order to view daylight factor unit.

Keys expired error on startup when VE offline

Detail: Keys expired error appears when launching VE.exe. The reason is the end user not being connected to the internet.
Workaround: Although the error appears, the user should be able to continue as normal if the message is in error and keys are still active.
