Hello everyone!
I am a beginner in IESVE and unfortunately we have no one within the organization who is an IESVE expert.
I am working on my first model, but I am stuck at what I think has an easy answer...how to I add a flat roof in ModelIT? The only option for adding a roof seems to limit me to a minimum 5 degree slope.
Do I just create a separate prism for the roof and parapet and end up assigning that geometry the appropriate envelope characteristics to simulate the roof?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Yes, create a separate prism for the roof and parapet and end up assigning that geometry the appropriate envelope characteristics to simulate the roof.

Re: IESVE beginner trying to model flat roof
Hi
The exposed top surface of all rooms are flat roofs by default in IES, and are automatically given the default roof properties. No need to to add another space on top unless you want to explicitly model a roof void, (NB a roof cavity can be modelled implicitly in the construction properties).
