'VE MFC Application has stopped working'

Post by Wasted Energy »

Hi

Has anyone had experience of 'VE MFC Application has stopped working' (followed by a hang and then a close) whenever they try and load the Compliance module or access any NCM templates?

I keep getting this on a particular model. I've pinged IES Tech Support but have received nothing back yet.

I'm running on Win 7 (64 bit). Does anyone know a fix for this?

I think I saw that once.
Believe I had to delete one of the project files which might have been the MCL which could be something to do with the compliance module but I'm not sure.
Give it a try.
Play safe though - just move it into another directory so you can move it back.

You might be right.

I sent the CAB off to IES and they sent it back saying there was a corrupt file in the Regs folder which they deleted - but I don't know which it was.

The model seems okay now - I just need to reset the NCM building type.

Cheers

I've seen this happen in the past due to some corruption in the building address fields, these are stored in the .bl2 file but you should never remove files yourself, let the Tech Support team assist you so you don't inadvertently make something worse. It should happen rarely enough to not be necessary though
