Beginner - Modelling questions

Hi everyone,

I have been learning how to use the VE software, and there are many questions that I have. I looked into the help section and the knowledge base, and within this forum, but I could not find an answer to the specific questions I have.

1-Dimension Length
I like the "construction lines" feature to be able to draw when I do not have a dxf to trace. However, is it possible to type the length? What I have been doing (and it must sound crazy) is to have a 0.01m grid, and zooming in until I have the exact number I want. I know there is an error margin, but I would like to try to have it as precise as I can.

2-Edit vertices
In the help support, the "Edit functions" and the "Edit Vertices" tab exist. But do they only appear on the Component Modeller and not on the ModelIt?
There is a topic here from 2010 where there was a drop down to edit, which I do not know if it still exists in VE 2019. Is it possible to edit vertices on ModelIt?
This is very important to us, because sometimes we receive construction drawings in the preliminary stage, and then they get altered in final stages. So editing the vertices would allow us to edit the model without having to redraw everything.

3-copy items and lock axis
When I copy an element, I would like to press something so that the x or y axis would be locked. Does this feature exist on VE? What I have been doing is to draw construction lines and then place the object where I want it to be, but this is somewhat time consuming, especially when there are multiple elements I want to copy.

4-windows within doors
Windows cannot be placed on doors because doors are considered openings. Although I understand we can arrange the U-value of the overall assembly, there is no way to account for the Solar Heat Gain Coefficient for that window. Is it considered negligible because of the area? However, I am assuming VE 2019 is capable of including the effect of solar gain through windows, and I don't even know if it does that.
