Custom Variable Creation

Hi all,

Does anyone know whether or not it is possible to create a custom variable that can return a value as number of days/instances instead of just a quantity of hours?

For example, return the number of days that the temperature difference between the max indoor temp minus the max outdoor temp (at that time) and only count this when the external temp is greater than 21°C.

Any help from from the community would be appreciated on this.
