Hi Ana,
Make sure that you've got a high reflectance set up for the interior surface of the sunpipe in FlucsDL.
OR
If you are using a component within a zone make sure that there is a high reflectance set for the component surface.
Also... don't use a hole to the outside - use a window. The engines don't like holes to the exterior.

I'd add that you need to up the quality settings in FlucsDL (if that's what you are using)...
I always use the "Advanced" options... that slider doesn't fill me with confidence.

Dear Ana,
With sun pipes, there are 3 components, the collector, the pipe & the diffuser. Out of these, simulating the collector & pipe are quite simple, but the diffuser may give you some trouble.
Collector: Simply model it as a glazing. Put the appropriate values and go from there.
Pipe: Model with high reflection internal surfaces.
Diffuser: Very tricky. The effect of the diffuser is to enhance the footprint of the pipe in the room. We have simulated this effect by calculating manually the impact of enhancement of print & by increasing the pipe diameter to mimic the effect in the given proportion.
Unless these points are taken care of, you will have issues in matching with real time lux meter readings.
