Hi,

I would be surprised if you received different results from your test models as the position in the z-plane should not have any affect. Certainly the quick test I have just performed gave the same results using VE-Ware.

Would it be possible to email the test models and results you obtained to support@iesve.com please?

Note: In full <VE> a surface is defined as being below ground level by setting an Adjacency Condition to any surface adjacent to the ground. This is not possible using the IES <VE> plug-ins. If you require further guidance on how to set this up in <VE> please contact IES Technical Support.

Regards,
Phil

Update: I have reviewed the models Joel used for this test and confirmed the change in results was caused by differences between the models Constructions rather than the Ground Plane.

I will however raise the issue of Sub Grade rooms with the plug-in development team to consider it as a new feature in the future.
