Reference building shading file gets generated with wrong name

Summary: Reference building shading file gets generated with wrong name
Detail: Users getting error reading shading file for Reference Building simulation during EPC calculations.
Workaround: Users can use legacy sim option for now rather than sim manager and it will run correctly (Tools >> preferences).
Fixed in: VE 2021 Hotfix 1 (2021.0.1)
Free standing PV can't be assigned in Electricity Generator dialog
Version: VE 2021 (2021.0.0.0)

Summary: Free standing PV can't be assigned in Electricity Generator dialog
Detail: Free standing PV (placed in modelIT) don't apear in the Apache Electricity Generators list so can't be assigned a type for simulation
Workaround: None

Room units controls don't work correctly in simulation

Summary: Room units controls don't work correctly in simulation
Detail: Room units using Proportional Controls don't switch on based on sensed room air temperature, load appears as zero in VistaPro
Workaround: Use of On/Off Control instead of Proportional and set Sensor location to Internal then choose the space allows switching of Room unit per sensed air temperature.

Failed to save results file error or VE crash when saving the sol vis results
Version: VE 2021 (2021.0.0.0)

Summary: Failed to save results file error or VE crash when saving the sol vis results
Detail: VE sometimes crash or shows error as - Failed to save results file when we save the sol vis results
Workaround: VE will shut down but the results are saved first and so can be reloaded as needed.

Construction lock doesn't work and not snapping in side views

Summary: Construction line snap not working
Detail: The construction lines snap was never an intended feature so when raised that it no longer works our developers wrote back that it wasn't meant to. So it was an accident but one that some users discovered and used. We raised a feature request & from VE 2021 Fp 01 it now works.
Workaround: No workaround

Solar Gain incorrect when using SunCast link
Version: VE 2021 (2021.2.0.0)
Module: ApacheSim
Summary: Calculated solar gain when shading obstructions are present in the model is incorrect
Detail: If a user has glazing that is shaded by shading objects or the building itself the calculation is not considering this shading as it should resulting in an incorrect solar gain.
Workaround: No workaround.

ApacheSim and Loads simulations fail at 100% complete

Summary: ApacheSim and Loads simulations fails at 100% complete
Detail: ApacheSim or Loads calculations run to 100% complete but give an error and the results do not appear in VistaPro
Workaround: Use Legacy mode from Tools>Preferences to run simulations or find the results files from the IES/Tasks folder in AppData and copy them over to the project's vista folder manually

Apache (track sun path...) showing solar gain discrepancies for some configurations

Summary: Apache (track sun path...) showing solar gain discrepancies for some configurations
Detail: When ApacheSim Engine is set to Tools>Simulation>Simulation Engine > Apache (track sun path through non-connected spaces...) there is the possibility for solar gain discrepancies.
Workaround: Users can use old ApacheSim engine and it will run avoid discrepancies in some rooms (Tools > Simulation Engine >Apache). This option is temporarily set as default for new installations.
Will be fixed in: under investigation, not yet confirmed
Crash when extract model archive
Version: VE 2021 (2021.0.0.0)

Summary: Crash when extract model archive
Detail: When extracting a model archive (.cab file) the VE will close down with no error.
Workaround: This can occur when the archive name is very long, rename the archive to a shorter name and then you can extract it and open the VE model.

Irish Compliance Calculations not using user entered illuminance level when "From Activity" is ticked at room level

Detail: Users have the chance to use illuminance values from the Activity Database for each activity at room level by ticking the box. If this is ticked and the users updates the illuminance in Tabular Space Data then the room level value is still used.
Workaround: Remove the tick from the "From Activity" box at room level if you want to use Tabular Space Data" entered values.
