Scripted created construction cannot be assigned

Hi all,
I am writing a script to create construction and assign it to a surface. The script ran without raising any error. The constructions created will show up in the construction database. But when I click the assign constructions button in IES VE, then an error will appear saying "The following application object IDs are missing from the application database and have been replaced by those listed." Below this message is a list of scripted created construction being replaced by one of the default construction.
Am I missing something? Do I need to somehow assign a construction ID after the creating the construction? Thanks in advance.
