Error: Element STD_CEIL in room ' ... ' has no corresponding element in room ' ,,, '

Post by kteague18 »

When I try to run loads, I keep getting this error. One room is partially above the other. Is there a solution to this error w/out redrawing one of the rooms?

Thanks.

Hi,

This error will typically manifest due to something in the geometry, it's likely to be a slight intersection or mismatch in the areas that result in a sliver (very small area adjacency) that is not quite aligned.

The configure rooms tool in ModelIT can sometimes auto-adjust the points so they line up or you'd need to go in and adjust the vertices manually to match them up.

Rely on the reporting option in the ModelIT menu as you create complex models as well, it will alert any intersections, unmatched adjacency, non planar surface etc and best to catch these as they are introduced rather than at the end when you try to run he calcs
